So exciting!

Here's the longer version - Met with the New Bishop from 2-4:30ish. He was engaging and interested in hearing about me. He asked tough questions as he should have. He told great stories and really put me at ease. He asked about my aspirations and my sense of call.
Basically, it boils down to this: if the diocese that did not want me is willing to release me as a postulant or candidate, then all will proceed swimmingly. I was told of an Associate job at a large parish that is open & he would like me to consider (I said yes on the spot - "wherever you ask me to go").
THEN he pointed out that if I am ordained by him in that Diocese, I will be the first female ordained toward the Priesthood there - that's a very humbling thought. I would be standing on the shoulders of so many women who have gone before me there - ones that have either denied the call or followed it in other ways or places. It's a bit terrifying.
There are still a lot of hoops - COM, Standing Committee, release from former process - lots to still consider and pray about - but I am so encouraged!! and excited!! He seems to want to make it all happen ASAP... Wow. Thanks be to God!!
