Remember those pesky scary test questions I had back in the very beginning of January?? They are graded on a scale of 1-4 with 4 as best. A 4 or 3 proves that one is canonically proficient, a 2 or 1 signals that more work needs to be done in that area. There were seven areas of testing. I made straight 3s in EVERY section!! I am so happy!! Miss M did exceptionally well - six 4s and one 3 - but she is the rock star!! I cannot describe how much I needed to see such positive affirmation on paper. I got home tonight from the Shrove Tuesday Pancake supper - very fun - and the letter from the General Board of Examining Chaplains was waiting. My hands were literally shaking as I opened it. What a blessing today!
The Blog thing is weird - I cannot see any of the updated posts since the Name Game. I only saw the comments form the last two posts tonite from the "edit post" page... not sure what to do but maybe it will resolve itself. And the spellcheck is not working. Helpful hints??

How totally funny with the scoring thing. Ours is done as a 0- 5.
0-2 you need to work, 3 and above you are fine. of course, five menas you are the rock star in our denomination. Some total moron sat down and figured up ways to score us and hinge our self-worht on number values.
The sucky part, when i passed I had two good pals that each did not pass an area. Both are brilliant and very studious and are now fine pastors, but it did suck when I discovered they had not passed.
But, I tell you this because you have had a small group of people who have not given you a thumbs up and just to say I think you are and will continue to be a fine .
